How can we help?

PROVIDING PERSONALISED SERVICES TO SUIT YOUR NEEDS

Guidance and Advice on the Aged Care System – Helping you navigate through the aged care system.

I can provide assistance in registering with My Aged Care as well as determining requirements and helping you to get the level of care and service required.

Home Visit – Do you want to provide that bit of extra one on one time for your older loved one - Mum, Dad, Grandparents?

Social or Companion Visits can be organised to give them that bit of extra care and attention. This could be around regular doctor or outside appointments, taking them out for social activities, reading or doing puzzles with them, gardening or just sitting and chatting over a cup of tea.

During this visit we can make contact with the family via phone or video chat so that you can see and talk to your loved one as well.

Visits can include discussion and updating Advanced Care Directives and Enduring Power of Attorney documents.

Special options:

  • Massage Therapy  can be of great benefit on a one-off or regular basis. This can be incorporated into an existing visit or be a stand-alone service.
  • Music Sessions for those loved ones with Dementia has shown many benefits
  • Respite Services can be arranged for in their own home, dependent on requirements.

Emergency Care Companion – Has Mum or Dad been taken to hospital and you can’t get there to be with them?

By having someone go to the hospital or facility to sit with your mum (or other loved one) you can rest assured that they will have a friendly face to count on. Contact with family will be a priority on first arrival so that you can get an update on their condition.

The companion will liaise with hospital staff to ensure they are seen to in a timely manner, lessen any confusion by explaining what is happening and make sure they are as comfortable as possible. Upon discharge the companion will accompany mum or dad back to their residence. If they are admitted, the companion will settle them in their room and advise family of condition and room location.

This service can be used in Emergency situations or scheduled treatments and procedures.

*After Hours call out fee may apply.

We can also organise for a Pet Check if required.

Emergency Pet Care – If a loved one has to go to hospital at short notice, the animals at home sometimes get forgotten and this can be a source of stress for the patient.

We can attend the home to make sure animals (cats, dogs, birds etc - small animals) are safe and have food and water. A report to the owner / family would be made. Longer term arrangements to be organised if required.

Travel Companion – How can we get Nana or Pop to the wedding? Who is going to look after them during the event while there is so much going on?

It could be any important family event – special birthday, christening, funeral, graduation, family reunion.

Having a personal travel companion can make attending important family functions locally, interstate or overseas a lot less stressful for both the traveller and the family and may mean the difference in being able to attend.

To have someone who is there solely to look after Nana - from leaving her house, travel to and attending the event then getting home again - can give peace of mind to both Nana and family. No fuss, no bother, and everyone has a good time.

Holidays can become more attainable by having someone to handle all the logistics for you, and to be there to make sure you enjoy your time. Whether it is a solo trip or one with family or friends, a travel companion can make sure you get to where you need to be and enjoy your time rather than stress over what is happening next.
